Our staff is especially trained to take care of your child’s physical development. They love teaching and are convinced that gymnastics will enhance not only their athletic abilities but also and give them a head start toward a healthy lifestyle. We are a family business that believes our family values add to the learning experience your child gets through training in our program.

Our coaches have a passion for sharing the sport of gymnastics with their studens. They have multi-facated experience in many different areas like dancing, physical training, sports psychology, teaching and of course, most have been life-long gymnasts.

YOICHI TOMITA Owner / Director Two-Time Olympic Coach Experience: 31 years

Born and raised in Japan, Coach Tomita was the Japanese National High School All-Around Champion 1973. He came to USA in 1974 to attend California State University at Long Beach. Yoichi was a 4 year All-American, NCAA Parallel Bar Champion in 1975, NCAA 2nd Place All-Around in 1978, and USA Champion on High Bar in 1979. He graduated with a B.A. in Physical Education in 1978. Yoichi moved to Tucson in 1979. Established Gymnastics World in 1983 where he has produced 9 USA Jr. National All-Around Champions so far. Yoichi has served as 1988 USA Olympic Men's Team Assistant Coach, 2000 USA Olympic Men's Team Assistant Coach, as a USA Gymnastics Men's Program Committee Chairman and as the USA Gymnastics Board of Director’s.

SETSUKO TOMITA Owner / Office Manager

Married to a life-long gymnast and raising 3 competitive gymnasts - one elite gymnast who was on the senior national team for 8 years and competed at the 2008 Olympic Trials, one who was Level 7 State champion for Gymnastics World, and one NCAA collegiate gymnast,  gives Setsuko more experience in dealing with the details of a busy gym and the patience and cheerful attitude necessary to deal with the parents of gymnasts than anyone else in Tucson! She can certainly relate to all sorts of gymnastics experiences with you! Any questions you may have about starting your child off in gymnastics or getting them more involved in the sport after they fall in love with it during rec classes, Setsuko will have the answers!
